Education
AtKisson tools and methods are increasingly being adopted by schools, universities, and educational associations. To meet this rising demand, we have created a separate division for formal education work, called Compass Education.
Through Compass Education, we have worked with education ministries, networks of sustainability educators, and individual schools (including our growing Compass Schools network). AtKisson is establishing partnerships with programs at leading regional universities to help spread the ISIS Method and ISIS Accelerator tools to teachers and students around the world. These Compass University programs, focused on the universities themselves, often include the establishment ISIS Academy branches as well for reaching out to professionals.
In 2012, we will be launching new partnerships with several universities, including the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), France's leading business school. We will also expand our existing relationships with universities, especially in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Here are three examples from our extensive experience in the education sector:
Baltic University Programme, Uppsala University
The Baltic University is a network of over 200 universities around the Baltic Sea. It supports diffusion of sustainability education materials, training programs for students, and capacity building for teachers and professors in the region. AtKisson is working closing with BUP to help spread the ISIS Method in this region.
Thailand Ministry of Environment
Working with the Ministry, AtKisson's SE Asia Affiliate, Systainability, has trained over 40 pilot schools in Thailand on the use of the ISIS Accelerator to support implementation of the country's first "Eco-School Policy."
Imperial College London, Stockholm University, Uppsala University (Sweden), Trisakti University (Indonesia), University of Latvia, Mendeleev University (Moscow), University of Iceland, and many others
AtKisson has often provided workshop, lecture, and related services to a wide variety of universities, in support of their programs in sustainability-related subjects.
